Johnny Williams was born in Ft. Worth, TX in 1973. His love for art continued as he grew up, taking art classes in school. At 17, being exposed to the art & music scene in Deep Ellum, one of the local venues gave him the opportunity to exhibit his art along with other artists. This opened doors for his art to be shown frequently at the Theatre Gallery.

In 1994, he relocated from Texas to Tennessee. Shifting from fine to commercial art, Johnny took a job a sign shop, where he learned hand lettering techniques as well as using photoshop and illustrator software. During this time he started working as a freelance illustrator on the side doing illustrations and package design for local and national bands.

He married Heather Cherish in 2012, a tattoo artist in Dickson, TN who established Lotus Tattoo Studio in 2002. His wife, saw potential in him to become a tattoo artist and apprenticed him. Her instruction and guidance molded him into a tattoo artist.

Today, with the knowledge she imparted along with other tattoo artists, he continues to learn methods and techniques, always striving to become a better artist. He is humbled by the love and support of his family, friends, and clients.
